Use google as dictionary, calculator and currency converter

Posted on: March 16, 2007

How to use Google as a dictionary: Just type define followed by the word or idiomatic expression you’re looking for eg. define skimp or define fly off the handle
How to use Google as a calculating machine: Just type 249+987 or 512-347 or 47*62 (for multiplication) or 40/2.5 (for division) and hit the Enter key (you don’t have to type the = sign). I even found out that 140 sq. ft. (which I read in a room ad) is equal to 13 square meters by simply typing 140 sq ft
How to use Google to convert currency: Just type 60 us dollars in british pounds or 30 ringgit in brazilian currency or 40 euros in chinese currency or 10 pesos in south african money.
